Louis Lipps is a former American football wide receiver who played nine seasons in the NFL. He played eight seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers and 1 for the New Orleans Saints in the NFL.
After a college career at the University of Southern Mississippi, Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Louis in the first round of the 1984 NFL draft. Also, he attended East St. John High School in Reserve, Louisiana.

City police say he hit a pickup into a parked trailer on a street in Mt. Washington. His eyes were bloodshot, watery, and glassed over. During the questioning, Louis told the police that he had drunk quite a lot.
As per police, the blood alcohol level in Lipps was almost three times the legal limit. He had a blood-alcohol level of 0.235% nearly three times the legal limit to drive of 0.08%.
Louis’s arrest happened about a week before he gets his name drafted into the Steelers’ 2021 Hall of Honor class at Heinz Field on November 14.
Lipps was charged with two misdemeanors DUI charges and is currently out of jail on bail. But, his preparatory hearing is scheduled for Nov. 22, according to court records.
