Dwight Galt IV has been named the new director of football strength and conditioning at Virginia Tech. Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University announced Wednesday.

Galt formerly worked with Tech coach Brent Pry at Penn State. Coach Brent called incorporating a new strength and conditioning coach an “important hire.”

At Old Dominion, Dwight oversaw the Monarchs’ football program. With his help, the Monarchs are eligible for just the second time in program history after a 6-6 season in 2021.
Dwight also prepared the program’s only NFL Draft pick.
