Pom Klementieff Father Was A French Diplomat
Pom Klementiff mother Yu Ri Park was Korean while her father Alexis Klementiff was half-Russian and half-French. Pom grew up between different cultures.

The model was only five years old when she had to move to her paternal uncle in France. Though the house was new to them, they felt very much at home due to all the love his uncle’s family showed them.
The actress herself was very fond of her uncles and aunts. Her uncle played the role of the father in her life.
Even though he could not fill the void of her father’s absence, her uncle gave her as much love as a father would give to his daughter and became a father figure.
But the tragedy was a thing that never left her family. On the day of her eighteenth birthday celebration, her uncle passed away, leaving her fragile heart even more broken.
Even with all the tragedy, life still moves on. To appease her aunt, the actress went to law school but didn’t continue her studies after two months because she realized that law school was not for her.
After that, she worked as a waitress and a saleswoman for some time in France.
Finding her passion in acting, she attended Cours Florent drama school when she was 19.
She later won a theater competition that awarded her free class for two years with the school’s top teachers. She was overjoyed and happy about the opportunity.
The tragedy of the family again hit her when on her 25th birthday, her brother Namou passed away.
The Actress Lived Her Life Between Countries
Pom Klementieff mother was the one who named her Pom. Pom was a Korean word that meant spring and tiger.
The other reason the actress was named Pom is that in French, ‘Pomme’ meant apple. The word also sounded Pom and the word represented the actress as an apple, the fruit of her parent’s union.

The actress was born in Quebec, Canada on May 3, 1986. Her father was in Canada for this government consul duty. Though she was born in Canada, she was not a citizen of Canada because citizenship doesn’t apply to the children of diplomats.
After staying in Canada for a year, her family moved to Japan where the family stayed there for three years. When she was four years old, her father was again sent to Ivory Coast, where she stayed for a year.
While traveling, she had gone to classes in Japan. But after her father passed away she and her brother moved to France to live with her uncle.
During her stay in France, she completed high school.
