J.J. Abrams, sometimes known as Jeffrey Jacob Abrams to his admirers, is an American film and television producer, director, actor, and screenwriter.
He is most known for his work in television series like “Alias” and “Felicity,” as well as movies like “Star Trek” and “Mission Impossible III,” which showcase his expertise in the science fiction and action genres. Given that his father also works as a television producer, he naturally developed an early interest in filmmaking. He and Jill Mazursky co-wrote a film treatment while they were college students, and Touchstone Pictures finally decided to turn it into the movie “Taking Care of Business.” It took Abrams a few more years to establish a solid career in the industry because the movie did not do well.
